The Boys & Girls Club of Lewistown was established in 2001 by a group of community-minded adults who felt too many youth were lingering in the streets of our neighborhoods with no positive direction.  Thanks to this dedicated group of volunteers, 10+ years later, the club continues to be the most popular “hangout” for area youth after school and during the summer! Our mission is Empowering Youth, Strengthening Futures which we do by offering a safe and positive environment for children where they can participate in education, health and nutrition, fitness, STEM, arts, prevention and social recreation activities.

Each day, youth receive homework assistance, a free snack and meal, play time outdoors, access to our computer lab, arts and crafts instruction and time to socialize over the playing of board games, pool, ping-pong and other kid-friendly recreational activities at our facility.

Most importantly, all of this is provided for a nominal charge, and every child is accepted into our program with welcoming arms. This last aspect is extremely important, as many families would struggle to afford these well-rounded, adult-supervised activities for their children during out-of-school time hours without access to the Club.

To help keep the youth of our community involved, active and excited about coming to the Boys & Girls Club, we attempt to provide them with a wide variety of learning opportunities and fun activities they may not otherwise have the chance to experience.

In addition to the activities available on-site, our schedule includes field trips to the Civic Center for roller skating, Ice Skating at the local rink, archery and sports, outings to the Lewistown Public Library, swimming at the Lewistown City Pool, tours of local ranches and Hutterite colonies, horse clinics and outings to the local fish hatchery and annual out-of-town trips to visit the Capitol in Helena, fish at Crooked Creek.
